 ✔ Sculpture Wounded Amazon (Sciarra) 200cm. Plaster cast of a Greek bronze statue of Polycletus, circa 430 BC
 The wounded Amazon is a line of Greek statues that combines a number of monuments. According to sources (Pliny the Elder), all these works were made during a sculptor competition held in the 5th century BC. It was attended by such famous masters of that era as Phidias, Polycletus, Kidon, Fresillus and Fradmon. Accordingly, they made 5 bronze sculptures of the Wounded Amazon, which were placed in the temple of Artemis at Ephesus.
 Of these five, only 3 have survived, and not originals, but copies of the era of Ancient Rome. Accordingly, three main types of plaster statues took shape. The first is the Amazon Matei, made during the reign of Augustus and discovered at the end of the 18th century, now in the Vatican. Its feature is considered to be the right hand raised in front of the face. The second type is the Amazon Skjarra (hand raised above the back of the head), created under Tiberius and found in the second half of the 19th century; today it can be seen in Copenhagen. Finally, the third sculpture is the Amazon Sosicle (right hand raised up).
